The bond system is just another way Wildermyth explores the feeling of togetherness and collaboration that traditional TTRPGs promote. The bonds between characters are featured prominently in gameplay, with certain events occurring only when two characters are in a relationship. The player can even choose how their relationships with other characters evolves, allowing them to develop into friendships, romances, or even rivalries. The range of dialogue options is almost endless, making each playthrough unique and giving the feeling that every choice matters in relation to the game's plot, just like in a traditional TTRPG like D&D. Even in a single-player game, Wildermyth makes players feel like they are role-playing unique characters who are reacting authentically to the events and people around them. Dialogue changes depending on each character's personality traits and relationship with the rest of the team. Players have a huge variety of choices during the game itself, some seemingly insignificant and others that may alter the future of the world itself.
